Trade Mark Attorney Full Time

Trade Mark Attorney required to join our busy and well-respected client in both their Colchester & Chelmsford offices working as part of their Intellectual Property Team. You will be a chartered Trade Mark Attorney with the ambition and commercial acumen to assist in driving the IP department forward. Subject to work commitments, there will be the opportunity for some working from home, if desired, in line with the Firm’s working from home guidelines the successful candidate must be willing and able to learn quickly about new, often unfamiliar, technologies.

The Role

• You will be involved with all aspects of managing the departments portfolio
• Filing, prosecuting, oppositions and cancellations
• Advising stakeholders at all levels on IP strategy development
• Negotiating and drafting of key agreements
• Assisting with queries from the wider legal team and business.
• The role will involve marketing and business development

The Person

• Must be a chartered trademark attorney with the ambition and commercial acumen to assist in driving the new IP department forward.
• You will be passionate to deliver succinct, high quality advice with excellent client and team communication skills.
• The ideal candidate will also have an eye for detail, work with high levels of accuracy
• Possess the ability to work under pressure, prioritising effectively.
• Ideal candidate must be flexible enough to work outside normal office hours when required
• Preferably have own vehicle as well as a clean driving licence.
